Arterial Ultrasound

Detect the presence, severity and location of atherosclerosis. Indications for arterial evaluation include leg pain while walking (claudication), leg pain at rest, leg numbness and tingling, non-healing ulcers or sores of the legs or feet.

Venous Ultrasound

Detect the presence of thrombus as well as valvular incompetence known as venous reflux. Indications include warmth, pain and swelling of one or both legs or ulcers of the legs.

ABI with Toe Pressures

Performed to assess the vascular condition of the foot by obtaining systolic pressures at the toe. Toe pressures use an infrared PPG sensor to determine the small vessel vascular condition distal to the ankle. Toe pressures may be useful in cases of unsuspected vascular disease and baseline diabetic foot assessment when falsely high ankle pressure can occur due to calcification. Results are indicators of healing potential in foot ulcers.

Carotid Ultrasound

Performed to determine the amount of plaque in the common carotid artery and the connecting arteries to assess the risk of stroke.
